Akif Taxim, born Urgur Ziyan-Can (*24.03.1976) is a turkish producer, DJ and live act.

Even though born and raised in Istanbul, he is currently living in Barcelona. Still Ziyan-Can is very well known in Istanbul though as he heavily contributet to the turkish underground scene with his passion for non-commercial projects. With this reputation he soon began to showcase his skills outside of Istanbul. With his first ep's and subsequent dj-sets he started gaining fame throughout the electronic music scene and big labels started to approach him. Staying true to his attitude he denied those request and kept his focus on the underground scene. With the help of his friend he started "Kucuk Rec." in 2008, the label he is exclusively publishing up until today.

After his move to Spain and his rise in the local DJ-scene he was booked all over europe, although under a plathora of different monicers. With his latest live-project "Akif Taxim" he now touring the underground-scene of europe.
